Inventive guitars, soulful vocals, and a tight and precise rhythm section that has been honed from years of live work, 300ft Gorilla are a Newcastle based band who take their many influences - Living Colour, Fishbone, Kings X, Janes Addiction, Alice in Chains, Prince, Francis Dunnery, Red Hot Chili Peppers - to create an outstanding and completely original sound.
The album Gorilla Tactics was released in 2007 to excellent reviews.
"They have the ability to mix and match pummelling grooves with easy hooks to impressive effect" Kerrang
"They play very well and they've got a knack for turning good riffs and melodies into good songs." Sound on Sound (CD of the Month)
"Creative songwriting, precision playing and a hunger you can hear in practically each of the album's 16 songs." Sea of Tranquility
300ft Gorilla are currently recording their second full length album.
